Weekly Bulletin Inserts for Inclusion in Church Bulletins

 

Please consider including the following Bulletin Blips in your church bulletin (feel free to make changes in the order they appear). In addition to these “blips”, a reproducible bulletin insert has been prepared for use on any Sunday during this spring.  Thank you for your support of the ministry of Cedarkirk!
 

MARCH 4th
Do you enjoy working with children and youth?  Do you enjoy playing, learning, and worshiping in the great outdoors?  Are you seeking to hear what God is calling you to do this summer and beyond?  Cedarkirk Camp and Conference Center invites young adults at least a year beyond their high school graduation to consider serving as part of the 2012 Summer Staff.  There are a variety of positions available.  Job descriptions, dates of employment, and applications can be found at www.cedarkirk.org.

MARCH 11th
The 2012 Cedarkirk Summer Camp brochures have been mailed! This year Cedarkirk is offering nearly 50 programs for all ages and interests. You can pick up a camp brochure here at the church or by visiting

MARCH 18th
Come experience Cedarkirk for the first time! Explorer Camps are for those who have completed 1st through 3rd grade. These events provide safe, meaningful camping experiences for children who would like to try camp, but aren’t sure they want to be away from home for a full week. MARCH 25th
Are you looking to really make a difference in people’s lives and learn more about God’s call to mission? The Helping Hands Service Camp at Cedarkirk invites Mid-High and Senior High campers to explore the little and big ways we can serve God in the world around us. Campers receive service hours for their help. Let’s join together in fun and service to further God’s kingdom!  You can register online at

APRIL 1st
Do you know a 3
rd-6th grader who is looking for a fun camp experience? Campers in the Junior Camp at Cedarkirk will enjoy cooking over a campfire, Bible studies, arts and crafts, swimming in the pool, canoeing, archery, climbing the rock wall, zip lining, and sleeping in the cabins. APRIL 8th
Do you like surprises? The Magical Mystery Tour camp at Cedarkirk offers 9
th-12th grade campers the chance to be surprised every day.  The mystery of the unknown allows you to bond with friends as you stay in the moment and let tomorrow bring what tomorrow brings. Find out more online (www.cedarkirk.org) or by picking up a brochure here at the church.

Are you intrigued by the natural world around you and enjoy spending time outdoors?  The Water Wonder Adventure camp for 3rd-6th graders or The Source program for 7th-12th graders may be the perfect program for you.  Come join us for an in-depth exploration into God’s gift of water. We will play in and learn about the waters that fill the Alafia River and explore how our actions effect our own water supply. APRIL 15th
OPEN HOUSE at Cedarkirk!  On Saturday, May 5
th, from 1:00-5:00pm, Cedarkirk opens its doors to parents, guardians, and children.  This is a great opportunity to learn about our summer programs, see first-hand the facilities and activities available, and get a feel for what your child will experience.  This is also an excellent chance to introduce a first time camper to how much fun summer camp can be.  Join us for tours, hayrides, s’mores, and other activities as we give you a taste of what summer camp will be like.  Find more information online at www.cedarkirk.org or give us a call at 813-685-4224, ext. 1.  See you there!

APRIL 22nd
CAMP IS NOT JUST FOR KIDS!  You & Me Conference is a special event at Cedarkirk Camp and Conference Center for children ages 3-12 and their adult relatives or guardians.  These mini-vacations provide opportunities for you to get away with that special child or grandchild in your life.  Get more information at

APRIL 29th
A great program for a creative son or daughter is the Cedarkirk Music, Art, and Drama Camp (offered separately for both elementary and mid-high/senior high youth). Campers in these programs explore their creative talents throughout the week while also enjoying all the traditional Cedarkirk activities! MAY 6th
The Fantastic Voyage offers 6th - 8th grade students the ultimate in adventure and outdoor exploration.  This adventure-race style camp provides an opportunity to experience camp activities - and other puzzles and challenges - linked together in a series of exciting pursuits. MAY 13th
ADVENTURE AT CEDARKIRK!  This summer, plan to spend a week sea-kayaking through Florida’s lush mangroves, climbing ropes high into the trees, and cooking out over a campfire.  Extreme Camps are open to campers who have completed 8th-12th grade.  Join others who want to try out new adventures by climbing, canoeing, camping, kayaking, and figuring out how faith fits into real life.  Read about this exciting program in a Cedarkirk summer camp brochure here at church or register online at

MAY 20th
Experience a special Christian community at Cedarkirk and make this a summer that you will never forget. Summer camp programs are available for 1st-12th graders and there is something for everyone. May 27th
Cedarkirk Camp and Conference Center would like to thank the churches of the Presbytery for their incredible support of the summer camp program. Last year we hosted more campers than ever before and are looking forward to an even better program this year. JUNE 3rd
The camp staff at Cedarkirk is preparing for a full and exciting summer.  We ask that you keep the staff and the campers in your prayers—that this summer might be a time of growth and inspiration for all.  Some camp sessions still have openings, so please visit www.cedarkirk.org or contact the Cedarkirk office at camps@cedarkirk.org or 813-685-4224 to secure a spot for your child.

JUNE 10th
It is not too late!  There are still openings for many of the camps at Cedarkirk this summer.  A week at camp may be one of the most effective forms of Christian nurture that a church can provide.
