How to
Register Senior High Leadership (Grades 9-12 Completed) Senior High Leadership (SHL): This program is about service to others, obtaining leadership skills, and having fun throughout all of it. The SHL program offers older campers an understanding of what it means to serve God and one another in a Christian community. In this special program, small groups will help lead recreation and games for younger campers, wash dishes in the kitchen, and spend time in Bible study and faith discussions. SHL campers will stay in the rustic cabins and also enjoy all that Cedarkirk has to offer: swimming, floating lazily down the river in tubes, playing on the high ropes course, late-night snack cookouts, and lots more! This year, there are a variety of sessions to fit into your summer schedule: offerings include one-week camps, 7-day camps, and two-week camps. Service hours are available for SHL campers - please contact us if you have any questions about this. All SHL applicants must complete a supplemental application. You may either complete it online after you have registered or mail in a print copy we can send you. Please note that your application will not be considered until we have received the supplemental application. Campers who wish to sign up for more than one session of SHL will be placed in their first choice and then on the waiting list of their additional camp selections. These wait lists will be opened on May 1st.
Camp Leadership In Practice (CLIP): For those who enjoyed the service and leadership aspects of SHL and are ready to take the next step - this is your camp! CLIP is a leadership training program designed for those who have attended SHL for two previous summers. Through increased instruction, responsibility, and a variety of creative activities, participants will continue to develop their leadership skill and strengthen their confidence. This program will also provide opportunities to shadow camp counselors during the day and debrief the experience at night. CLIP participants will live together as a group and can expect a rewarding week packed with traditional camp activities, new leadership experiences, and friendships to last a lifetime! All SHL applicants must complete a supplemental application. You may either complete it online after you have registered or mail in a print copy we can send you. Please note that your application will not be considered until we have received the supplemental application.
