How Can I Help the Year-Round Ministry at Cedarkirk?
Gifts and Donations
Cedarkirk relies upon the generosity of churches and individuals to carry
out its mission and ministry to be a place apart. Please consider
making a secure online donation to support Cedarkirk by clicking
here. You can designate your donation or give towards the general
mission work of the camp and conference center. If you would like more
information about giving to Cedarkirk or about the ministry, please contact
Executive Director, John Reiter.
Events
Please consider attending a Cedarkirk sponsored event and encouraging others
from your church or community to attend with you. You can find a list of
upcoming events here. One of the biggest ways
that you can help us is to schedule an event. Whether it is a
congregational family retreat, small group event, birthday party, group
building event, or even a family reunion, guests utilizing our facilities
helps us realize our mission statement. To see available weekends for the
near future click here.
People Power
Cedarkirk has numerous projects around camp that groups could adopt and help
make a reality. Projects range from grounds work (clearing trails and
brush) to painting (interiors and exteriors of buildings) to facility
improvement and construction. Groups of any size and composition (youth,
men, women, families) are invited to contact the camp office to find the
project that matches your group’s interests and skills. Adopting a project
strengthens your group through community building and a shared experience as
well as enhances your camp and conference center. Individuals and
families can also volunteer to help as a host on weekends, as a publicity
liaison with your church, or with mailings, light maintenance, etc.
Friends
The Friends of Cedarkirk have been invaluable in the success of this
ministry. From supporting programs, hosting weekends, and
contributing hours of their time, the Friends have truly made Cedarkirk
a possibility.
Remembering Cedarkirk
As we look to the future and consider long-range site improvements,
we will rely on the generosity of churches and individuals to make these
dreams a reality. We have received memorial gifts in the past that
have had a profound impact on our ministry. Please consider
remembering Cedarkirk in your will. We also have a number of
facility improvement projects and new buildings planned that only lack
funding. A Cedarkirk representative would be happy to meet with
you or your church to discuss our facility improvement plans.
You may be able to help the ministry of Cedarkirk by
"recycling" items that you no longer use:
- an electric kiln for arts & crafts projects
- foam noodles for pool activities and team
exercises
- board games for rainy days
- playground balls or recreation equipment
- digital camera
- arts & crafts supplies
