December 17th-19th - Christmas Retreat: An annual yuletide tradition for campers in grades 3-12, this weekend event provides both returning and new campers with the opportunity to celebrate the birth of Christ and learn more about Advent as they raise their voices in song, gather around the campfire, and enjoy all their favorite camp activities. More information about this event and the option to register online will be available in October. The Inn Door (Metropolitan Ministries Retreat) (dates TBA): This annual retreat is for the residents at Metropolitan Ministries, a non-profit organization serving poor and homeless men, women, and children in the Tampa Bay area. For three days, Cedarkirk opens its doors to the shelter residents for a time of fun and relaxation. During the Christmas season, a time that can be particularly difficult, campers enjoy the camp life as they get away from the city, celebrate Christmas, and enjoy the beauty of God's creation. This retreat relies on the Cedarkirk community for donations. If you are interested in donating or volunteering for this event, please contact Mark Orendorf.
